Information you provide
We may collect information you enter in the app, such as your account details, app preferences, selected countries or languages, liked names, rejected names, matched names, custom names, room codes, and support messages.
Babinom is designed to help couples choose baby names together with trust, care, and simplicity.
Effective date: September 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Babinom (“Babinom,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Babinom mobile app and website. Babinom is a baby name app for couples.
We may collect information you enter in the app, such as your account details, app preferences, selected countries or languages, liked names, rejected names, matched names, custom names, room codes, and support messages.
Purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Purchase identifier. A RevenueCat app user ID used solely to manage your purchase entitlement.
We may receive basic technical information needed to keep the app working, such as app version, device type, operating system, crash details, and diagnostic logs.
If you install Babinom after seeing one of our ads, our attribution provider AppsFlyer records that the install happened and which campaign it came from. This can include device and advertising identifiers (on Android, the Google advertising ID; on iOS, the vendor identifier for your device), your IP address, device and operating system details, and app install and open events.
In the EEA and the UK we ask first. Babinom shows you a prompt explaining this and collects nothing for attribution unless you agree. You can withdraw that agreement at any time in the app, and it takes effect immediately.
We use this only to understand which ads work. On iOS we do not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission and therefore do not access the IDFA advertising identifier — iOS attribution relies on Apple’s SKAdNetwork, which reports campaign results in aggregate. We do not use attribution data to build advertising profiles about you, and we do not link it to the names you like or match.
We use information to provide the app, sync partner rooms, show name recommendations, save your preferences, process and restore Lifetime Premium access, respond to support requests, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
Product interaction, such as swipes, matches, preferences, and feature usage, helps us provide app functionality and improve Babinom. This data may be linked to your account when needed to provide app functionality and improve the experience.
Your account, profile, rooms, matches and swipe history are stored in our database hosted in the European Union (Ireland). Product analytics and diagnostic data are processed by PostHog on their EU infrastructure.
Some providers process data outside the EEA. Purchases and subscription entitlements are handled by RevenueCat, push notification delivery by the Expo push service, and app install attribution by AppsFlyer, all of which operate from the United States. Payments themselves are processed by Apple and Google under their own policies — we never receive or store your card details. Where data leaves the EEA it is transferred under the safeguards required by the GDPR.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the app, such as authentication, database hosting, purchase entitlement, product analytics, push notification delivery, app install attribution, and app infrastructure providers.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Babinom, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain purchase entitlement records. You may contact us to request account or data deletion.
Babinom is intended for parents and adults choosing baby names. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
You can update preferences in the app, restore purchases through the app, and contact us to request help with account access, data deletion, or privacy questions.
App install attribution. In the EEA and the UK, Babinom asks for your permission before any attribution data is collected, and does not collect it unless you say yes. You can change that answer at any time under Settings → About → Ad attribution; turning it off stops the collection immediately. Elsewhere you can limit this in your device settings under Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can delete your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalisation. On iOS, Babinom never asks for App Tracking Transparency permission, so it has no access to your IDFA advertising identifier in the first place. You can also contact us to ask us to stop processing your attribution data.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep Babinom safe and reliable.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide notice when appropriate.
